Program brought hundreds of visitors to park and museum
September 18, 2017

Nearly 600 children and more than 300 adults visited Louisville Water Tower Park this past summer because of its participation in the city’s Cultural Pass Program.

This program offered free access to 38 of Greater Louisville’s arts and cultural institutions for children and young adults —as well as one guardian. The pass was available at any Louisville Free Public Library branch or Metro Louisville community center. For Cultural Pass participants, Louisville Water Tower Park offered free admission to the WaterWorks Museum on Wednesdays.

Tours of the park’s historic facilities and special activities for children, such as coloring pages with images of the water tower, also were provided.

The City of Louisville launched the Cultural Pass Program for the summer of 2014. This summer was the second time the WaterWorks Museum has participated.
